Plie. Eleve. Ballet Flats.

Posted by

Mr TBS says that if I never acquire another pair of ballet flats, it will be too soon.

I do admit that I’ve the rainbow coalition of flats: black, brown, pony hair, pointed toes, round toes, Tory Burch Revas, Target Mossimos.

And speaking of Tar-zhay, while everyone are waiting and anticipating the arrival of the Missoni line, I am reveling in my recent coup below.  Everyone needs a great neutral flat that can be worn with jeans or a skirt.  Can you believe these are only $15? I actually believe they look more expensive.  I went to a Shea Moisture natural hair workshop last week and one of the presenters was wearing a pair; I had to have them.

In addition to the cocoa brown, there are also options in black, red and purple.  The reviews seem to trend toward the shoe being a tad snug but my regular size (the shoe box) works just fine.

Do you wear ballet flats? Which are YOUR favorite ones?

  • I Like these. Are they comfortable so far? I’ve been having some bad luck with flats lately (as far as comfort) cutting into my skin when I walk. I’m still shopping around for the right pair of flats.

    • I’ve that same issue with the cutting but so far, so good on these. I think a lot of it has to do with your arch, too.

  • Ballet flats make me happy, there are easy, comfy, and cute. My feet often jsut don’t agree with the whole heels situation for an extended period of time, so ballet flats = perfect.

  • They are not really my stylo, but I do wear them. I am sorry to say that my hot pink/purple Tory B flats hurt my feet :-( . My silver Cole Hahn flats are very chic.

  • These cheetah print flats from Target are absolute staples for me. They go with everything and are on trend. http://www.target.com/p/Women-s-Mossimo-Supply-Co-Odell-Ballet-Flats-Cheetah/-/A-11210713

  • Last winter I was introduced to ballet flats by a dear friend of mine. Since that initial introduction I keep a pair in my handbag at all times!

  • My favorite ballet flats are the square toe(leve) ballet flats by Jessica Simpsom at Macy’s. I wear them year around barefooted even when it is cold out. I am over 50 and just started wearing them barefooted to work. I wear them barefooted for style and comfort and I get many compliments on them.

  • A little late to this party, but I have the Target flats in nude, purple and black (and also the shade of a problem). I have found that they run REALLY small. I am a 81/2 with no socks and with these flats I have to get a 91/2. They are the best and you don’t have to freak out when they get dirty/wet/ruined!
